We Are Usually Asked About

How far in advance should I contract my event?

Typically all jurisdictions require at least 30-45 days advance notice to acquire all necessary permits. A permit is required for any type of professional pyrotechnics production whether it is indoor or outdoors. While 30-45 days notice is required, it is recommended that you contract your event once you have the exact date and location confirmed. Having your event booked far enough out allows time for special requests and any unexpected conflicts that may arise in permitting such as venue inspections, permitting delays, etc.

What is the average cost for a professional fireworks display?

Land based displays start at an average of $3,500.00 for a 5-6 minute display. Water based displays that require a barge start at an average of $4,500.00 for a 5-6 minute display. These prices can vary based on the exact venue or location of the display in regards to permitting fees.

Is there a booking fee or deposit due when I go to contract my event?

Yes. A 50% deposit is required at signing of contract. This deposit can be paid with a check or credit card. This deposit allows us to file for the necessary permits, reserve product, schedule the crew and other necessary logistics. The remaining 50% balance is due 7 business days prior to the event date.

Do you offer any incentives for paying the entire cost upfront?

We offer a 5% discount on the total contract price for pre-paying for your event upfront. This amount is subject to change at anytime. This incentive is not offered for events contracted within 30 days of the event.

I want to request certain colors or effects in my show, am I able to do that?

Our designers can design the display around your special requests. This is not a problem being there is sufficient time to acquire any effects that may be out of stock at the time of booking your event. This is one of the main reasons we advise clients to contract your event far enough out. It allows the necessary time to handle special requests.

What is the difference between electronically fired displays and hand fired displays?

Hand fired displays are executed using road flares. There is typically delays in the sky during the show because there are technicians walking around the fireworks and have to leave the firing area once they light the fuse of each device.

Electronically fired displays are executed using digital firing computerized panels, modules and electric matches. There are no delays during the display. The computer can fire as many igniters as you ask it to within milliseconds. This is another reason why all of our shows are 100% electronically fired. We want our clients to have the best quality show possible no matter how big or small the production is.

What am I responsible for after contracting my event?

After contracting your display, we take care of everything else from start to finish. We will file the paperwork with all necessary documents in order to receive the approved permits. We will arrive the day of your event, setup the fireworks display and execute the display at your desired time. If you have any questions or concerns throughout the process, feel free to contact us. We typically respond within 24 hours.

What happens if inclement weather is expected the day of my event?

All of our displays are fired 100% electronically using state of the art digital firing systems. During setup, all fireworks are loaded into their respective firing positions and covered using 3-4mil plastic sheeting to ensure no moisture or rain affects the performance or safety of the explosive devices. Once inclement weather passes, the plastic sheeting is then removed and the display is ready to fire. All of our shooters and technicians have weather apps to on their phones such as WeatherBug or TheWeatherChannel and monitor radar to know when inclement weather is approaching or should be clearing out by. Being that all of our shows are fired electronically, they can be fired in light to moderate rain without any negative performance of any explosive devices. If there are torrential rains during the expected display time or forecasted to be, we would then recommend either delaying the show or firing the display prior to the heavier weather arriving. If any heavy winds or lighting is present within the surrounding area, it will be at our discretion in regards to safety.

How much space is required to have a fireworks display?

There are many different types of pyrotechnics & fireworks available. The larger aerial display shells require more space since there are stricter safety requirements that we must adhere to. If your venue has limited room, close proximity pyrotechnics are always an option. These devices have limited to no fallout and are manufactured to perform safely around spectators and structures.
